The WHDI Consortium was founded by AMIMON, Hitachi, LG Electronics, Motorola, Samsung, Sharp and Sony to create a new industry standard for universal wireless HD video, audio and control connectivity throughout the home. The new interoperable standard aims to ensure that CE devices manufactured by different vendors will simply and directly connect to one another.
WHDI adopters will gain access to WHDI interface and test specifications, as well as IP license subject to the WHDI adopter agreement. WHDI will be accepting new adopters later this year - to indicate interest in joining, please sign up here.
